BDI is working with the City of Gulf Breeze to implement improvements to Wayside Park. The project conducted comprehensive surveys of both park sides, focusing on topographic and hydrographic details for future development. West-side surveys covered the boat ramp area and parking lot topography, aiding traffic study evaluations. East-side surveys extended from the new bridge to the bulkhead, including parking and submerged zones near the revetment and fishing pier. Vertical and horizontal controls ensured precise design references, while boundary surveys defined city property boundaries.
Detailed recommendations were made for structure repairs, progressing from conceptual designs to construction documents aligned with city-approved plans. Potential boat ramp replacements were explored based on traffic and public needs, with tailored geotechnical services and permit acquisitions.
Environmental considerations, like submerged aquatic vegetation studies, guided improvements beyond existing structures. Collaborative efforts with city stakeholders and advisory groups supported project development and sought grant funding to enhance community amenities and infrastructure reliability.
