Summary

Baskerville-Donovan, Inc. is hiring an Entry Level Water Resources Engineer to join our growing team of professionals in our Pensacola, FL office. Under the direction of the Water Resources Market Director, this candidate would be responsible for assisting in the planning, design, development, implementation and analysis of engineering products and systems. Our customers are primarily related to municipal, county, state and federal infrastructure programs for all aspects of water and wastewater. A successful candidate can expect to perform engineering evaluations, design, permitting, hydraulic analysis, construction cost estimates, and construction engineering and inspection (CEI) related to water resources projects awarded to Baskerville-Donovan.

Education & Experience

  • B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering (From an ABET accredited engineering program)
  • 0-2 years of experience in the water/wastewater industry or related area.
  • Ability to obtain a State of Florida Engineering license (Either passed FE Exam or plan on taking exam).

Essential Job Responsibilites

  • Wastewater Infrastructure Design:
    • Assist in the design and analysis of wastewater collection, transmission, treatment and disposal to meet regulatory standards.
  • Water Infrastructure Design:
    •   Assist in the design and analysis of water supply, treatment, storage, and distribution systems to meet regulatory standards.
  • Permitting:
    • Determine federal, state, and local requirements and the ability to assist in preparation of permit applications and supporting documentation.
  • Collaboration:
    • The ability to work collaboratively with a team of engineers and support staff.
  • Technical Report Writing:
    • Preparation of technical engineering reports, construction progress reports, etc. under the direction of direct supervisor as requested by management.
  • Data Collection and Hydraulic Analysis:
    • Gather and analyze data related to water resources using industry-standard hydraulic analysis software.
  • CEI:
    • Participate in site assessments, data collection, field investigations for water resources projects.
    • Strong desire to network and build lasting client relationships.
    • Desire to make a difference in the life of the communities we serve.
    • AutoCAD, Hydraulic Modeling, and Microsoft 365 skills are a plus.
