Baskerville-Donovan, Inc. is hiring an Entry Level Civil Engineer to join our growing team of professionals in our Pensacola, FL office. Under the direction of the Civil Market Director, this candidate would be responsible for assisting in the the design, development, implementation and analysis of civil engineering solutions. Our customers are primarily related to municipal, county, state and federal infrastructure programs, and our work involves most disciplines under the civil engineering umbrella with a heavy emphasis in hydrology, hydraulics, and coastal design. A successful candidate can expect to perform engineering evaluations, design, and cost estimation related to projects awarded to Baskerville-Donovan.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Fundamental engineering skills in coastal design and resilient shoreline infrastructure.
  • Fundamental engineering skills in stormwater, drainage, collection, and conveyance.
  • Fundamental engineering skills in water supply distribution systems.
  • Basic understanding of permitting with jurisdictional agencies to determine federal, state, and local requirements and the ability to assist in preparation of permit applications and supporting documentation.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with a team of engineers and support staff.
  • Preparation of technical reports, progress reports, etc. under the direction of direct supervisor as requested by management.
  • Strong desire to network and build lasting client relationships.
  • The ability to attend meetings with staff, clients, contractors, vendors and others as required.
  • AutoCAD and Microsoft 365 skills are a plus.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering (From an ABET accredited engineering program)
  • 0-2 years of experience in the field or related area
  • Ability to obtain a State of Florida Engineering license (Either passed FE Exam or plan on taking exam.)
